Will First Aid be available whilst setting up?

E-mail Print PDF

Yes.  We would advise all participants to have as basic 1st aid kit with plasters for small scrapes & splinters but Manchester Medical Services will be at the staging area during the set up.  If you need to summon assistance, either go to the Registration Point in the car park of Parkview School or approach any steward with an orange hi-vis vest as they have radios to contact the First Aid team

Where do we report to?

The Registration Point is in the car park for Park View Community School

Park View Community Primary School

Nelson Street

Miles Platting

Manchester

M40 8FE

All floats and paricipants should report there to register.

What time do we set up?

Parade Organisers will be at the staging area from 8:30am ..... Participants are welcome to arrive any time after that but must ensure they are fully assembled by 11am with a view to leaving at 11:30am prompt.

I'm disabled, is there anywhere to see the parade safely?

E-mail Print PDF

If you have any physical challenge that might mean it is either difficult or impossible for you to join with the regular crowds, please contact us for access to the disabled viewing area.. spaces are limited but should not be any problem.  We would strongly advise pre-booking so we can ensure that the correct number of chairs & wheelchair spaces are available. Again, subject to availability, we are happy for 1 'able' helper / relative to come into the enclosure too.  If you have not been able to pre-book we may still be able to accomodate you - please come to the Kro Bar side of Piccadilly Gardens & ask any of the stewards on duty to direct you from there.

Unfortunately we have no control over parking so you will need to make your own arrangements using the available spaces.  Taxis & Drop Offs would be easiest in the layby opposite the junction with Aytoun Street.

How do I go about entering the parade

E-mail Print PDF

Unfortunately the date has passed for the 2010 Parade as we are now less than 2 weeks away from the event.  If you would like to register an interest for next year, please email your details to us & will send you an application form later in the year when applications open for the 2011 event. If you are  unable to email then feel free to contact any of the committee members by post or phone.
