Another Great Parade

E-mail Print PDF

Another great parade successfully completed today.  The crowds lined the route with many more along Oldham Road & Great Ancoats Street than in the past which was great for all to see.  Photos & more detailed press will be published shortly on this site so please come back soon.  Meanwhile we are always looking for more of the community to get involved so if you'd like to help out, please get in touch.  We'd also love to hear from anyone who saw the parade .. what did you like best? What would you like to see in the 2011 parade? and is there anything we could have done better? Whatever you views, please get in touch and let us know.  The parade has a "Facebook Group" so if you'd like to make comments for everyone to see, you can post them on the wall or if you'd prefer to just email, post or call the contact details are on this site.

How to get Involved!

E-mail Print PDF

We would love to hear from anyone interested in getting involved.

This tends to fall into one of three main areas -

Watching the parade - we'll be putting more information onto the website as we get closer to the event but meanwhile, the route will be approx. 3 miles long so they'll be plenty of opportuntity to see it.  Timings & good viewing points will be published shortly.  Also we will have a disabled viewing area at the side of Piccadilly Gardens so if you have difficultly standing, are in a wheelchair or for some reason wouldn't be able to handle the crowds please get in touch.

Helping out with the parade - whether it be preparations, assistance during or post parade activities.

Participating in the parade - We'd love as many community groups to take part & experience the fun from the "other side of the fence" however we are limited on numbers & there are several important requirements, in particular, that proper Health & Safety considerations have been taken, that the group has adequate insurance in place & acceptance of the rules & guidance for public events in Manchester City Centre.

In the first instance, feel free to email us, contact [at] stgeorgesparade.org.uk, call us on 0161 636 7570 or post
